It is characterized by their intricate designs and bright colours, and often feature floral motifs, geometric patterns, and calligraphic inscriptions. During the Ottoman Empire, suzani tapestries were often used as wall hangings or as covers for seating or bedding. They were highly valued for their decorative appeal, as well as their cultural and historical significance.
