Suzani Cushion

The word Suzani comes from the Persian word suzan, which means needle. Suzani are intricately worked embroideries that have been crafted throughout Central Asia for centuries. The oldest surviving suzanis are from the late 18th and early 19th centuries, yet are likely to date back long before. The hand drawn and hand embroidered fabrics using silk thread on cotton-silk ground, embroidered by skilled artisans, makes each of our suzani textiles unique and beautiful pieces.
