Collection: Bathroom Silk-Cotton Pesthemal
The Sultan’s taste for luxury significantly influenced the development of Ottoman Hammam culture. The Peshtemal originally comes from the Ottoman Empire, many centuries ago and is a fine cloth associated with use in Turkish spas. It has gained international recognition for being a soft, absorbent, luxury towel with multiple practical uses. Historic Kutnu Pesthemal has been a tradition since the 16th century. Having received geographical indication in 2015, this unique fabric, featuring silk warps and cotton wefts, is handmade on wooden loops, a method dating back 6 centuries. Master weavers create unique art with every piece of fabric.
Our Ottoman Touch Kutnu Pesthemal Collection is an exquisite combination of 600 years of tradition and modern luxury. Bespoke designs and sizes are available to purchase.
